How we make money

Families pay for the Search Kit and the Search Service. That's it.

What is free

The obituary writer, the printable program, the checklist, every guide and every state page. We can afford this because some families buy the paid tools.

What families pay for

  • Search Kit, $79 once. Letters, tracker, storage, family access and reminders.
  • Search Service, $299 once. We do the searching and write a report.

What we don't do

  • Take a percentage of what you recover.
  • Sell leads or your data.
  • Take referral fees from lawyers, insurers, finders or funeral homes.
  • Run ads.

Our sister service

We also run Plan Before You Die, which helps people get their own affairs ready. If you agree to follow-up notes, one may mention it about a month after you sign up, because people often ask how to spare their own family this work. We make money if you buy it.

Partners

Funeral homes and hospices can share our free tools with families. We don't pay them commissions.
