Write an obituary for your child

We're sorry. Here are a few things that help, and an example you can borrow from.

What helps

  • There is no required length, and you owe no one a cause of death.
  • Consider what you share about brothers and sisters who are still minors, and leave out schools and home addresses.
  • A friend or funeral director can take this on for you. Hand it off if you need to.

An example

Noah James Miller, 9, of Boise, died on June 2. He loved trains, the color orange and telling you facts about octopuses.

He is survived by his parents, Sara and Ben, and his sister, Lily. A service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cloverdale Chapel. Everyone is welcome to wear orange.

This person is made up. Their details are only an example.
