After a death in Nevada
Where to look for a will, who to ask and where to search for money in Nevada.
The will
Which court handles probate
The district court in the county handles probate; the court self-help center says to petition the district court.
"You can petition the district court for an order allowing access."
What to do with the original will
The person holding the will must submit it to the court within 30 days after the death. (NRS 136.050 also allows delivery to the named personal representative.)
"you must submit it to the Court within 30 days of their passing."

Wills deposited during life
We couldn't check this rule at an official source, so we won't guess. Ask the probate court clerk in the county where they lived.
Opening a safe deposit box
Court route: family members (priority: spouse, child, grandchild, other descendants, parents, siblings) petition the district court ex parte for an order to open the box solely to remove the will, attaching a death certificate and consents from higher-priority relatives. Bank and box details needed. Search results also indicate NRS 239A.077 gives a public administrator direct access, not verified.
"This process is strictly limited to the opening of the safe-deposit box for the purpose of removing the will."
NRS 136.060 (from search results; not opened). Read the source.
Unclaimed money
Nevada State Treasurer's Office
"This is a free and secure service provided by Nevada’s Unclaimed Property to claim your lost funds."
